Astroworld 2021

On November 5th, 2021, hit rapper Travis Scott hosted his AstroWorld Festival in Houston, Texas. The festival was brought back this year since last year was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Scott first launched the festival in 2018, the same year his album of the same name was released. His whole philosophy of the concert was “bringing back the beloved spirit and nostalgia of Astroworld, making a childhood dream come true”. Likewise, on October 26th, 2021, Travis Scott posted the lineup for the festival. On November 5th, the festival arose.
It is unclear how it started, but out of a sudden move, the crowd started to push toward the front of the stage. A source stated that “Once he started, all hell broke loose. All of what is to be 50,000 people ran to the front”. Others were saying it was hard to get out once in the pack. A victim went on top to announce to stop the show. No one was doing anything. In the end, eight victims died. 300 were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
